Call for Open Education and OER best practices

The Government of Slovenia and UNESCO, in cooperation with the Commonwealth of Learning (COL), Creative Commons and OpeningupSlovenia initiative, are organizing the 2nd World Open Educational Resources (OER) Congress in Ljubljana (Slovenia), from 18 to 20 September 2017.

The Organizing Committee of the Congress would like to collect examples of Slovenian good practice in Open Education and OER at the institutional, local, regional, national and EU levelS and beyond, with the aim of promoting Slovenian achievements in Congress.

Open education is the link formal and informal education with the help of modern technology that increases access to knowledge and education. Učmo can therefore anytime and anywhere – not just in school. OER are educational resources that contain an open license, the most commonly Creative Commons.

The form is intended for all stakeholders: schools, public institutions, research institutes, companies, societies, associations and individuals who want to:

  • the sumbissions will be presented on the website of the congress http://www.oercongress.org/ as an example of good practice, which takes place in Slovenia, and / or
  • present a project or. the activities of his organization in the exhibition space in the lobby of Cankarjev dom at the time of the Congress (the price of the exhibition space is expected from 1000 to 1500 EUR including VAT for all three days. In special cases, when the exhibitor does not have any project funding, it will be possible to enforce reduced payment (also free).
