Today, during the debates in the Communication and Information Commission at UNESCO´s General Conference, it was decided, that UNESCO together with its Member States will have to prepare a Recommendation for Future International Collaboration in the field of Open Educational Resources (OER) until the next session of the General Conference, which will take place in 2019.
This decision was adopted with an overall support of all UNESCO Member States. The debate proved that there is enormous interest in shifting Open Education and OER to a higher level and it seems that the OER Momentum right after the OER Congress in Ljubljana, Slovenia, is very strong. See here for list of UNESCO Recommendations.
We feel this is a big success!
